FAQS COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM
How often will you email me if I subscribe?
You will usually get only two emails each term. Once when enrolments are open and then again the week before enrolments close! No annoying emails!
Am I able to pay with cheque or direct debit?
Yes. Check out the Bank Transfer details on your invoice once or the booking form once you have enrolled online and then email Emma at email@example.com to confirm your class enrolment. If paying by cash or cheque this needs to be done to the school office during school hours. Please note the CEP Coordinator does not work onsite at the school. For this reason, the most efficient method for enrolment is online or via email. Forms that are dropped off at the school office will be collected regularly, but not necessarily every day, and not over the holidays. Booking through the website or via Email communication will be the quickest way to confirm your placement in a class.
Am I able to park in school grounds?
New Farm State School does not have parking onsite. Street parking is available on Heal Street and Hawthorne Street.
In the past I have received a brochure in the mailbox for your classes - do you still send these out?
Definitely! This is something I have been asked many times since Community Education has been online. We still send out brochures to New Farm and our neighbouring suburbs during the Christmas, Easter, Winter and September school holidays. In the past we have found that at least a few streets are missed in each direct mail campaign. Additionally if you have a "No Junk Mail" sign on your mailbox you will not receive the brochure. The best method of ensuring you receive notification of a new term is to add your name to our subscribers list above.
Do you offer a refund if I don't attend classes or only attend a few?
We are a community program and all of our classes are run subject to their reaching minimum numbers to ensure their financial viability. For this reason, refunds will be only be offered if a class is cancelled or if written notice is given 5 days prior to commencement date.
Can I pay cash on the first night?
No. Payment needs to be made prior to class either online, via bookING form, direct deposit.
Where are the classes held?
NFSS Community Education Program uses the facilitates of New Farm State School, so depending on your class you choose you may be in the hall, music, art or classrooms of the school.

Is there a map of the school or will someone be there on the first night to guide me to the classroom?
You will receive a confirmation email in the days leading up to the first class with details on the location of the class.
Do classes run on Public Holidays?
No. Classes do not run on public holidays or pupil free days. You will be notified when classes don’t run and when a make up class will be held.
I have an idea for a class - who do I contact?
If you have an idea for a class you would like to run in 2019, we are always looking for new courses that fill an educational or creative need in our community. Please contact the Coordinator via email to let us know your ideas.
